Art for a Financial Management Company
Ancora, Beachwood, OH
Ancora, a financial management company, was in the process of moving into a new space when they approached Gray Haus Studios. For the new space, Ancora wanted locally made artwork that reflected the company’s services and sense of place.
Inspired by Ancora’s industry, I commissioned local art studio Streets of Manhattan (who collaborated with Cleveland’s Zygote Press) to create a large one hundred-dollar bill piece to greet employees and visitors as they enter the office.
Local artist Chris Zielski was commissioned to create a dynamic copper and printed zinc piece that depicts the iconic New York Stock Exchange building, Wall Street sign, and charging bull statue.
To complete the common thread of Cleveland-based artists, Mark Brabant’s screenprints of iconic Cleveland structures in contemporary colors are hung together on another wall.
The result: Each piece in the collection successfully depicts Ancora as a strong financial management company by tying the iconic Wall Street imagery to recognizable scenes of Cleveland.
